  • Chungnam Province announced on the 16th that it has finalized the selections for the '2025 Regional Metropolitan Tour Bus Operation Support Project,' aimed at enhancing tourist transportation convenience and boosting the tourism industry.

     

    The Chungnam Regional Metropolitan Tour Bus initiative involves one city or county within the province developing and operating routes that connect with neighboring cities or counties, allowing visits to tourist destinations in two or more areas. This project is specifically designed to attract tourists from Seoul and the broader Seoul Metropolitan Area.

     

    In anticipation of the '2025-2026 Chungnam Visit Year,' the province reviewed business plans from various cities and counties, prioritizing criteria such as operational frequency and route diversity, to select these new courses, with the goal of increasing ridership for the metropolitan tour buses.

     

    The selected cities and counties are Cheonan, Boryeong, Asan, Nonsan, Dangjin, Seocheon, and Hongseong—a total of seven. They plan to develop and operate 33 courses.

     

    Representative courses by city and county include: △6 courses in Nonsan: Ganggyung San Salt Literature Museum → Kim Hong-shin Literature Museum → Gongju Nataejoo Literature Museum, etc. △5 courses in Cheonan: Gakwonsa Temple → Wirye Cherry Blossom Festival → Dankook Lake Cherry Blossom Path → Asan Hyeonchungsa Shrine, etc. △5 courses in Boryeong: Boryeong Mud Festival → Mugunghwa Arboretum → Anmyeonam Temple in Taean, etc. △5 courses in Dangjin: Ami Art Museum → Sapgyo Lake → Yesan Agroland, etc. △5 courses in Hongseong: Haemi Shrine in Seosan → Hongju Shrine → Hapdeok Shrine in Dangjin, etc. △4 courses in Asan: Gangdangol Valley → Onyang Traditional Market → Sinjeong Lake Garden → Yesan Stork Park, etc. △3 courses in Seocheon: National Institute of Ecology → Janghang 6080 Food Alley “Matnaro” → Janghang Pine Forest Natural Recreation Forest & Skywalk → Jeongnimsa Temple Site in Buyeo → Gungnamji Pond in Buyeo, etc.

     

    An official from the province stated, "We will continue to do our best to provide diverse courses so that visiting tourists can truly enjoy all corners of the province."
