This Month's Chungnam will showcase the featured city/county's major tourist attractions, recommended travel courses, local festivals and events held during the month, and unique tourism products. This information will be shared through the province's official social media channels and the Chungnam Tourism website.
◇ A Festival Hub to Savor Nonsan Strawberries, Recognized Globally
The "27th Nonsan Strawberry Festival" will be held for four days, from the 27th to the 30th, at Nonsan Citizens' Family Park.
Under the theme "Nonsan Strawberries, Connecting the World," this festival will serve as an opportunity to promote the excellence of Nonsan strawberries, which have already gained recognition for their sweetness in Indonesia, following Bangkok. Promotional events for the "2025–2026 Chungnam Nonsan Visit Year" will also be held concurrently.
The festival will feature programs utilizing fresh Nonsan strawberries, such as a Nonsan Strawberry Street Parade, pure strawberry harvesting experiences, and a strawberry dessert cafe. Unique defense-related content, including a helicopter exhibition and boarding experience with the Army Aviation School, is also being prepared.
In addition, Nonsan is preparing a variety of other exciting events: the Ganggyeong Cultural Heritage Night Tour (Aug. 29–30), a night festival utilizing national registered cultural heritage sites in Ganggyeong; the Korean Confucian Culture Festival (Sept. 12–14), which leverages Confucian cultural heritage; the Yeonsan Jujube Festival (mid-Oct.); the Ganggyeong Salted Seafood Festival (mid-Oct.); and the Yangchon Dried Persimmon Festival (mid-Dec.).
◇Must-Visit Charming Tourist Attractions in Nonsan
Nonsan's "Sunshine Land" (102 Bonghwang-ro, Yeonmu-eup, Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do) is a multi-cultural complex where visitors can enjoy military experiences (survival games, VR experiences, screen/indoor shooting) and explore drama and film sets from the 1900s to 1950s. It is particularly famous as a filming location for the popular drama "Mr. Sunshine."
It's not just a simple exhibition hall to observe; visitors can directly participate in various experiences, making it an enjoyable destination for all ages.
Ganggyeong Modern History Street (Area of 73beon-gil, Oknyeobong-ro, Ganggyeong-eup, Nonsan-si, Chungcheongnam-do) is currently Korea's largest salted seafood market, renowned nationwide for its high-quality fermented salted seafood.
Furthermore, "Ganggyeong Modern History Street" and its diverse modern buildings offer a journey back in time, while unique restaurants and cafes with interesting menus are also popular among young people.

◇Recommended Courses to Enjoy Nonsan, Full of Memories and Romance
For a compact, one-day itinerary of Nonsan's highlights, we recommend the course: Gwanchoksa Temple → Tapjeongho Lake Suspension Bridge → Sunshine Land → Ganggyeong Modern Culture Street → Oknyeobong Peak.
Gwanchoksa Temple, famous for the Eunji Mireuk, the largest stone Maitreya Bodhisattva from the Goryeo Dynasty; Tapjeongho Lake, boasting Nonsan's natural beauty, and Korea's longest suspension bridge; Sunshine Land, where you can reminisce about the popular drama "Mr. Sunshine" while viewing Gyeongseong in the 1900s; Ganggyeong Modern Culture Street, where you can explore modern buildings like the Hanil Bank; and Oknyeobong Peak, with its spectacular sunset views, are all part of the popular Nonsan 11 Scenic Views.
Starting from the end of this month, the "Chungcheongnam-do Smart Tourism Map" app will launch an electronic stamp tour function, beginning with the aforementioned Nonsan course. Various events linked to the stamp tour are also planned.
A provincial official stated, "Through 'This Month's Chungnam,' we will create opportunities for each of our 15 cities and counties to showcase their unique charms. We hope many tourists will choose Nonsan as their travel destination for March."
